First Baptist Alcoa’s Children’s Ministry exists to reach boys and girls with the Gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him. We keep this overall goal in mind as we teach in every age group and use various tools to serve them.
Nursery Ministry
Infants to 3 years
Lessons and activities are prepared and provided for all sessions. To help ensure the safety and security of our preschoolers, a personal paging system is used, enabling us to contact a parents immediately should the need arise.
Primary Church
“Elevate Junior”
During the worship hour, we have a very special ministry designed for children age 4 to kindergarten. Elevate Junior will grab their attention and take your child on an imaginative journey of Bible learning. This wonderful program utilizes fantastic animations, puppets, music, and graphics to teach children how to apply Biblical concepts and stories to their everyday lives.
Elementary Ministry
Our elementary department strives to make each child feel welcomed, loved, and accepted as we reach, teach, and win boys and girls for Christ. Our Children’s Ministry offers a wide range of programs and activities including weekly Sunday School, Awana, Muzak Extreme (choir), and seasonal activities such as Vacation Bible School, Music Day Camp, Preteen Camp, Trunks ‘n’ Treats, and Christmas Celebration.
Kidz A.L.I.V.E. (Always Living In View of Eternity)
In order to help our 3rd and 4th graders make the transition into the preteen years, we provide a special time for them on Sunday, during Sunday School and Sunday Evenings and also their own age divison in Awana. In the summer, those who have finished 4th grade may join the Preteen Ministry (J.O.L.T.) and may also participate in Preteen Camp.

AWANA
“Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed”
AWANA is a kids’ club which meets each week beginning at 6:00pm on Wednesday evenings for those children age 2 through ther 6th grade. Through separate age groups (Cubbies, Sparks, and Truth & Traning), boys and girls lean through scripture memorization, teamwork, athletics, competition, and games what it means to develop strong moral character at an early age.
